Lauren Davis
FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
BARRE INTENSITY TRAINED INSTRUCTOR
As a mom of two little boys and wife to her best friend, Lauren’s most poignant fitness desire is to maintain a strong, healthy body that serves her well so that she can serve them and others well. As someone who greatly values connection, movement, and the lifegiving qualities found therein, she hopes THE LIGHT STUDIO will serve as a place that fosters those attributes for others. Her fitness journey has evolved greatly over the years and led to a place where she craves balance in a healthy mindset and body more than fitting a mold of any form. Lauren believes everyone has something beautiful to bring to the table and hopes that by entering the doors of TLS, each person walks out with their individual light shining a little brighter for their life purpose.
Lauren’s love for various forms of fitness can be found in her classes where her greatest loves, the barre and Pilates methods, are highlighted.
Lauren hopes to inspire others to become a stronger, better version of who they were made to be while receiving the same inspiration in return. Ultimately however, her greatest desire is to serve Christ as a vessel and light that truly shines for His glory.

Amber Gillespie
CO-FOUNDER &
BARRE INTENSITY TRAINED INSTRUCTOR
Since marrying her high school sweetheart many years ago she has always had a passion for staying active and enjoy adventures with their family! Throughout the last 10 years her passion for wellness in a physical, mental and spiritual aspect has grown tremendously.
Her love for Tabata and high-intensity workouts evolved when she was introduced to Barre by her sister, Lauren. The physical and mental challenge that this workout provides in a low impact way using the small isometric moves is perfect, especially when you throw in a fun beat!
She is so excited to join you in the gym as we grow a sense of community and walk through this life together. She understands the brevity of the time we have and hopes to encourage others along with herself to grow strong in all aspects of life so that we can truly share the love of Christ at every opportunity.

Felicia Pollard
CERTIFIED YOGA INSTRUCTOR
Felicia is a Pontotoc native. She has lived every type of group exercise in the last 20 years, she encompasses her experience by calling herself a “fitness enthusiast.” She has tried it all, dance fit, running, yoga, barre, pilates, and Crossfit.
She met her husband, Cullen, while attending Ole Miss. They married in 2007 and have run and biked many a mile together on the Tanglefoot Trail and even in some out of state half marathons. Now they stay a bit closer to home wrangling their three boys on a variety of playing fields and aquatic centers.
Her fitness journey has ebbed and flowed through the years as with each of us, grace abounds when raising children, charting new careers, and caretaking for others. One constant has been the joy that is found in the fitness community. A lot can be accomplished running miles after a long day with a friend.
Felicia earned her yoga certification in 2022 initially with the intent to help promote educator wellness. She has used her knowledge to lead students and staff in the practice of yoga. Prior to joining The Light Studio, Felicia taught community classes with First Choice Bank. Felicia first tried yoga at the urging of my college roommate, who added in great music and heart pumping pulses to up the burn.
One benefit of group fitness Felicia is the community it brings. The short talk after class, the sharing in the excitement just before class begins, or the real talk that happens on the last 8 counts when you are in the struggle together.
“I have been fortunate to have been placed among friends and family who support my endeavors and strengthen my practice, by asking me to take a class, take a walk, or watch my children.”
The Light Studio provides Pontotoc with an opportunity for community that extends beyond the walls of our churches. It brings women together who might never cross paths outside of normal lives and after shared effort they quiet themselves together and find rest and peace before leaving the studio.

Allison McGregor
THE LIGHT STUDIO TRAINED INSTRUCTOR
Since the age of 2, Allison has spent many hours in the dance studio working tirelessly to perfect her art. She is trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical dance. Allison trained at North MS Dance Centre for 16 years, but she branched out for more intensive training in high school. Allison trained at Broadway Dance Centre and Alvin Ailey Dance Company in New York City in the early 2000s and has also taken dance intensives under many professional dancers over the years. Her favorite dance memory was being a backup dancer at the Nicole C. Mullen concert when she performed in Tupelo. Dance has always been her passion and she is so excited for this opportunity to share that love with her community.
Allison is married to Collin, and has 3 beautiful, busy children. She spends her days working for NMMC Home Health as a registered nurse and spends her afternoons watching her children play sports and coaching gymnastics.
Allison has always been active in the fitness world and has tried many types of exercise styles over the years, but has recently found her niche through attending barre at The Light Studio. She loves bringing her ballet and trained dancing style to barre workouts, but equally enjoys the cool down and just having a moment of quiet and stillness before starting the day.
She is so excited to be on this journey with all of you and looks so forward to growing her relationship with everyone that enters this space. Allison hopes to be an inspiration to others, and together, we can not only better ourselves in this space, but grow in our faith together so that our light shines bright everywhere we go!
